For global consumer brands
Japan market entry.
From first launch to lasting growth.
Localization, crowdfunding, influencer marketing and distribution with a Tokyo-based partner.
Finding a distributor in Japan is only part of entering the market. Customers also need a clear reason to choose your product, information in Japanese, a way to buy it, and reliable support after purchase.
Rawvia works with overseas consumer brands to connect those steps. We assess product differentiation, adapt the offer for Japanese customers, plan a launch, and develop distribution opportunities based on the response. Our focus is on useful products with a clear functional advantage.

How we help your brand enter Japan
Product assessment and Japanese localization
We review your product information, samples, target customers and existing distribution. Together, we shape the positioning, pricing, naming and messages for Japan, then plan Japanese product pages, photography and video. Product-specific compliance requirements need to be checked before a launch; a campaign does not replace those checks.
Crowdfunding launch support
For suitable products, we consider Makuake or GREEN FUNDING as a route to introduce the brand and understand customer demand. Support can include campaign planning, Japanese copy and creative production, pre-launch promotion, and communication with customers. Platform eligibility, approval, schedule and delivery arrangements must be confirmed for each project.
Influencer marketing, social media and LINE
We plan how customers discover the product and move from interest to purchase. This can combine micro-influencer content, social media, product demonstrations and LINE communication. We evaluate the response and improve the message throughout the launch.
Distribution beyond the campaign
A launch is the starting point. We use customer feedback to explore ongoing e-commerce sales and retail opportunities, while planning customer support with the brand. Sales channels, responsibilities and commercial terms are agreed together.
Our four-step Japan launch process
- Discover: Review the product, its functional advantages, samples and Japan market fit.
- Localize: Adapt pricing, positioning, language and creative content for Japanese customers.
- Launch: Prepare the appropriate sales channel and promotion, then learn from customer response.
- Expand: Develop ongoing sales and distribution opportunities based on launch results.
Is Rawvia the right Japan partner for your brand?
We are interested in consumer products that solve an identifiable problem and offer a functional difference customers can understand. A useful starting point is a brand with its own product identity, supporting product information, and a commitment to long-term customer support.
If you are looking for an exclusive distributor in Japan, we can discuss whether that arrangement fits the product and both companies’ plans. Exclusivity, territory, channel rights, order quantities and payment terms are negotiated for each partnership.
Rawvia also provides social media growth marketing and performance-based sales support. Learn about our three services.
Questions from overseas manufacturers
Can we discuss the project in English?
Yes. Please send your inquiry in English through our contact form. Include a product link or catalogue and a short description of what you want to achieve in Japan.
Do you support Makuake and GREEN FUNDING launches?
We consider both platforms when suitable for the product and launch strategy. We discuss eligibility, preparation, responsibilities and the schedule before proceeding. Acceptance and sales results are not guaranteed.
Must we grant exclusive distribution rights?
No agreement is assumed from an initial inquiry. We discuss the scope of the partnership, including whether exclusivity would support the investment and work required in Japan.
What should we send for an initial review?
Please share your brand and product website, product specifications, retail and wholesale pricing if available, existing sales markets, and whether you already have a Japanese distributor. Information about samples, lead times, warranty and available certifications helps us assess the next steps.
How much does a launch cost, and how long does it take?
These depend on product readiness, localization, compliance checks, stock and delivery plans, marketing scope and the selected platform. We review these factors together before proposing a budget and schedule.
